Patty (Patricia) Doolas is a registered nurse who maintains her license in the state of Illinois. She attended Bradley University where she received a bachelor of science in nursing. After graduating college, she began her nursing career working in adult medical/cardiac critical care at one of Chicago’s major medical centers. Her final years in the intensive care unit combined clinical nursing with management duties which included staff development and review, quality assurance, and development of policy and procedure protocols.   After ten years practicing critical care nursing, she broadened her experience by running an office for a small group of general surgeons. When several groups merged their practices, Patty became responsible for the group’s billing, coding of the operative reports as well as insurance review. The group included specialists in bariatric, endocrine, breast, melanoma, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, esophagus, stomach and colorectal surgery. After thirty plus years in the clinical setting, Patty changed her focus to working in the field of medical malpractice defense.  She now applies her wide range of nursing experience and medical knowledge to medical records analysis and review.  When she is not reviewing medical records, Patty can be found mountain biking in the Palos woods or playing tennis and platform tennis throughout the Chicagoland area.
