Christopher J. May was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1995. He has extensive experience in defending healthcare providers, including hospitals, long term care facilities, and individual physicians, in medical malpractice actions, and boasts an impressive record of jury trial victories in multiple states. Christopher also counsels healthcare entities with respect to statutory compliance, risk management, and various other legal issues. Christopher’s diverse practice also includes experience in a variety of general tort litigation matters, including construction litigation, premises liability, catastrophic injury, and property damage cases.
He also has extensive litigation experience in a broad variety of insurance defense and coverage actions. Christopher has represented insurance companies in coverage and bad faith litigation involving a wide variety of matters arising under numerous types of policies, including commercial general liability policies, directors’ and officers’ liability policies, property and casualty policies, professional errors and omissions policies, special manuscript policies, umbrella, and excess policies.
Christopher earned his B.S. in Finance with honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his J.D. with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology.
