Laura J. Ginett concentrates her practice in the area of Medical Litigation. She has participated in over 20 trials to verdict, both for individual physician defendants and for medical centers. These cases have involved primary care, surgery, obstetrics, neurology, orthopedics, radiology, and psychiatric issues ranging from involuntary commitment to suicide. She was elected to membership in the Society of Trial Lawyers in 2000 and served on the Board of the Society of Trial Lawyers from 2005 to 2007. Ms. Ginett earned her B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Illinois in 1983, where she was President of Debate, and her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University in 1986. Additional distinctions include: Co-author of "Special Problems Respecting Institution Negligence," Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. |
