Anne Stalder Nelson was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1992 and concentrates her practice in the areas of Medical Malpractice and Long Term Care Litigation. Among other things, Ms. Nelson has extensive experience overseeing national long term care cases (including skilled living, assisted living, independent living and rehabilitation facilities), analyzing and making recommendations in the areas of potential liability, anticipated verdict and settlement values and defense strategy; as well as directly representing Illinois long term care facilities. The cases Ms. Nelson has defended have involved a variety of issues, including falls, prevention and treatment of decubitus ulcers, dehydration and malnutrition, sepsis, physical and sexual abuse, improper use of restraints, inadequate pain control, medication errors, choking, premises liability, and failure to observe and/or notify physician of significant changes in condition. Born in Oelwein, Iowa, Ms. Nelson earned her B.A. from Northwestern University in 1989 and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1992. Credentials and distinctions include Phi Beta Kapa, Leadership Greater Chicago Fellowship, former Executive Director of Cabrini Green Legal Aid Clinic, and memberships in the Chicago Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
