Rusty O’Kane was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2010 and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 2011, and concentrates his practice in the areas of Hospital Liability Defense and Medical Malpractice Litigation. Mr. O’Kane earned his B.A., summa cum laude from George Washington University and his J.D., cum laude from Northwestern University. Mr. O’Kane also holds an M.A. in Legislative Affairs from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University.
During law school, Mr. O’Kane was a member of Northwestern’s National Trial team, which won the 2009 CACJ National Championship and 2010 TYLS Regional Championship. After law school, Mr. O’Kane clerked for the Honorable Lawrence M. Reifurth on the Intermediate Court of Appeals in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was also an adjunct professor in trial practice at the University of Hawaii, Richardson School of Law.
Mr. O’Kane is a member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations.
